No country worldwide in desirable human rights situation: Rouhani

Tehran, February 27, The Iran Project – No country worldwide has achieved a favorable situation in human rights and all nations should contribute humanity in obtaining such inalienable rights, President Rouhani stressed in a meeting with Swiss President Johann Schneider-Ammann.

In a joint press conference with visiting Swiss President Johann Schneider-Ammann, at Saadabad Cultural Complex in Tehran on Saturday, Iran’s President of Rouhani stated that no country in the world has achieved the desirable condition in human rights and all countries should assist humanity in attaining such inalienable rights.

Highlighting the Swiss delegation visit’s coincidence with Iranian’s high turnout in Friday’s election, he said that the massive participation caused the election took long until the late hours of the Friday night.

“The belief into the principles such as independence and national sovereignty, democracy and the election are the grounds of two countries relationship,” Rouhani underlined.

Elsewhere his remarks in this press conference with his Swiss counterpart, he expressed gratitude for the European country hospitality and hosting during the different courses of nuclear negotiations.

President Rouhani also emphasized the two countries interest in industrial, agricultural and transportation cooperation, adding that Iran and Swiss are set to cooperate on Iran’s membership in WTO.

Heading a delegation consists of 38 major Swiss companies, Schneider-Ammann arrived in Tehran on Friday evening.
