Iranian books nominated as world's best designed books

Tehran, March 9, The Iran Project – Two Iranian books were nominated to win the title of "the best designed books from all over the world" at the 2016 competition of Leipzig Book fair.

Among the 64 books from 24 countries, two Persian books were nominated to receive the top prize for the best design award at the 2016 competition of Leipzig Book fair.

Imam Ali Epic, written by Mehdi Shafei and the Little Book of Love the second Iranian book authored by Ismaeil Firouzi are two Iranian books which competed along with 62 other books from around the world in this edition of contest.

Initially some 600 books from the 32 countries had took part in the event in which Iranian books along with other selected works were chosen to receive the top prize.

After two days of assessment, ultimately the Netherlands, China, Czech Republic, Belgium, Austria, Norway, Venezuela and Germany received the best prizes.

The competition is held every March during the Leipzig Book Fair which is the most important spring event for the publishing and media sector.

The Leipzig Book Fair will take place on 4 days from March 17 to March 20 in Leipzig, Germany.

Earlier, an Iranian Novel Hello Stone had won the award of "the best designed books from all over the world" at the 2014 competition of Leipzig Book fair.
