In Tehran, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with a special envoy of the Sudanese President Omer al-Bashir to discuss an expansion of ties between the countries on Sunday.
The Iranian Fars News Agency reported that the two states discussed strengthening their bilateral relations and 'abundant commonalities'.
"We can survive these present difficult conditions imposed by the enemies through helping each other," Ahmadinejad commented on meeting.
