Senior Shia cleric: Iran’s Hajj absence is due to Takfiri fatwas

31 May 2016 - 14:52

AhlulBayt News Agency - Ayatollah Bushehri, manager of Iran seminaries, met with a group of scholars from Pakistan warning against discord between Muslim nation and scholars as the reason for issues among Muslim communities.

He said,” Today the dispersion of Muslims servers the enemies who are promoting their affairs through the policy of divide and conquer.”

“It is a shame that right now Muslims are killing Muslims with Islamic funds and enemies’ weaponries.” said the cleric and added, ”Islamic countries are spending a great part of their budgets on military issues in Yemen, Syria, Iraq and other Islamic states.”

Deputy at Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom hailed the remark by Pakistani visiting scholars on solidarity of Muslim scholars and counted infidel governments, some Muslim countries and a group of Muslim scholars as the three hubs which are damaging Islamic nations more than others.

He referred to scholars who have issued fatwas on killing of Shia Muslims as the origin for appearance of terrorist Takfiri (excommunication) groups in the region quoting Lebanese Hezbollah leader Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah saying,” We can defeat Takfiri groups in physical clashes thought it is the scholars who should reform Takfiri minds.”

Iranian cleric warned that Shia is not the only target of Takfiri groups and said,” At present Takfiri groups have targeted image of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH); therefore, Shia and Sunni Muslims should unite to stand against the heinous ambition.”

Religious figure also referred to recent announcement by Iranian authorities abstaining from Hajj 2016 and expressed regret over the conditions set by Saudi government leaving no way for Iran but abstention from Hajj pilgrimage this year.

Ayatollah Husseini Bushehri criticized Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for its loyalty to infidel governments and vowed great measures to be taken by Muslim luminaries once they unite in a body.
