3 Jun 2016 - 15:05

Tehran. May 31, The Iran Project - A Pakistani expert believes that Iran plays the major role in resolving the problems between Pakistan and India.

Speaking to a reporter on Tuesday Seyyed Mujahid Ali, a Pakistani columnist and expert of Indian subcontinent field said, “Chabahar agreement has no negative effect on Gwadar port however due to subcontinent’s political condition, India's involvement in any deal is considered doubtfully l by Pakistan .”

Getting access to Afghanistan, Middle East countries, Russia and other countries of the region via an international corridor is so significant that these two ports (Chabahar and Gwadar ports) are not capable to sheep and transit the goods alone, Mujahid Ali reiterated.

Pointing to Rouhani’s speech after signing the agreement, the Pakistani expert highlighted that Iran has a vital role in settling the bilateral issues between India and Pakistan.

Earlier, President Rouhani said that Chabahar agreement isn’t against the countries of the region.

Stressing on this fact that conflicts between India and Pakistan would threaten the security of South Asia and Indian Ocean, he concluded that the problems will not be solved unless through peace negotiations.

Iran, India and Afghanistan signed a trilateral deal known as ‘Chabahar agreement’ on May, 23 2016 to establish an international corridor between these three states.
