TEHRAN, June 07 (Shana) – Government Spokesperson Mohammad Bagher Nobakht says the increased export of Iran's crude oil is an indication of the removal of sanctions on Tehran.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday morning, the official said Iran could only export 1 million barrels of oil on a daily basis under the sanctions but "has now doubled its exports which shows that the embargoes have been removed."
He also said that the boost in investments in different sectors is another indication that the nuclear sanctions have been lifted, adding that implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) must be sped up, however.
Nobakht also said that Iran has just finalized a deal for construction of a 5,000 megawatt power plants in the country's southern territories with an investment of $4.2b that will be bankrolled by direct foreign investments.
