Tehran, July 5, IRNA – Director General of Food and Drug Administration Reference Laboratory Hossein Rastegar said that Iranian rice is the best in the world.


Rastegar added that regarding the quality of the product, the amount of protein, its smell and its cooking, Iranian rice is better than imported ones.

On the quality of Iranian rice, he said that it depends on different factors like environmental and climatic conditions.

Despite the fact that imported rice is approved by food and drug administration, Iranian rice is not comparable to imported types, he said.
