Havana, Aug 22, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Monday paid tribute to Cuban national hero Jose Marti.


At a ceremony where the national anthems of Iran and Cuba were played, Zarif laid a wreath at the memorial building of Jose Marti.

Zarif and his accompanying delegation then visited the different parts of the memorial building.

Writing in the memorial notebook, Zarif expressed satisfaction with paying tribute to 'the big revolutionary who inspired all the revolutionaries, particularly those in the Latin America.'

'I'm sure that the revolutionary soul of Jose Marti will persist in commander Fidel, and the Cuban government and nation,' Zarif said.
