TEHRAN, Sep. 07 (MNA) – Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan and the rector of Baku State University met on Tuesday and discussed the ways to expand academic cooperation between Tehran and Baku.
Iran and Azerbaijan are going to publish a joint academic journal of Baku State University and Iran’s Cultual Attaché, recounted Mohsen Pakaieen, Iran’s ambassador to Baku, during his meeting with Professor Dr. Abel Maharramov, the Rector of Baku State University on Friday in Baku.
Education of Persian language at Baku State University, staff training, and cooperation of universities of the two countries on areas like nano-technology were listed by Mr. Pakaieen as important measures for boosting academic communication between Iran and Azerbaijan. He also voiced gratitude over the Baku State University’s support for Iranian students.
In the meeting that was also attended by Ebrahim Ebrahimi, Iran’s Cultural Attaché to Baku, Professor Maharramov welcomed the broadening of academic ties with the universities and research centers of Iran.
