Tehran, Sept 12, IRNA – Vice-President and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Ali-Akbar Salehi, left Tehran for Brussels, the capital of Belgium and the European Union headquarters, on Monday morning, heading a delegation.
The visit is on the invitation of European Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Arias Cañete and Belgian officials.
During his stay in Brussels, Salehi is scheduled to meet Cañete and the EU senior representative in foreign policy and security affairs, Belgian foreign minister and certain Belgian and EU officials. They will discuss a variety of issues, including peaceful use of nuclear energy.
Documents for expansion of relations between the two parties are expected to be signed or on which they are to agree upon.
