Tehran, Sept 13, IRNA - The head of Iran's High Council for Human Rights Mohammad Javad Larijani arrived in Rome on Tuesday to hold talks with senior Italian officials.
While in Italy, Larijani would hold talks with a number of senior Italian officials on Iran's judicial system.
The visit aims to foster Iran's human rights and judicial cooperation with other countries.
In Dec. 2014, Iran and Italy called for expanding mutual cooperation in judicial and human rights areas in the conference on the Protection of Human Rights in the Penal-Judicial System of Iran and Italy held in Rome.
During the conference, the officials of the two countries agreed to broaden their mutual cooperation and bilateral ties in judicial and human rights issues.
