Iran’s referee couple to judge at France Handball 2017

TEHRAN, Sep. 13 (MNA) – International Handball Federation has officially invited Iran’s Majid Kolahduzian and Alireza Mousavian to officiate at Handball World Championship 2017.


The 2017 IHF World Men's Handball Championship will be the 25th event hosted by the International Handball Federation, and will be held in France from 11 to 29 January 2017.

Iran’s referee couple, comprising Kolhaduzian and Mousavian, have been officially invited by the International Handball Federation (IHF) in order to judge at the tournament to be held in France.

A total of 16 referee couples are scheduled to take part in France Handball 2017 and the Iranian outfit has been selected in view of their excellent performance in recent world and Olympic events.

The 25th round of IHF World Men's Handball Championship will be attended by 24 top teams in eight venues Paris-Bercy, Rouen, Nantes, Metz, Albertville, Montpellier, Lille, and Brest.

Host France, Poland, Russia, Brazil, Japan and Norway comprise Group A of the sportive event while Group B comprises Spain, Slovenia, Macedonia, Iceland, Tunisia and Angola. Group C contains Croatia, Germany, Belarus, Hungary, Chile and Saudi Arabia while national teams from Qatar, Denmark, Sweden, Egypt, Bahrain, Argentina have been placed in Group D.
