TEHRAN, Sept 27 (Shana) – Secretary of Parliament Energy Committee Abdolhamid Khedri says Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zanganeh’s consultations in Algeria will bear positive consequences for Tehran.
Khderi told Shana that as far as energy diplomacy is concerned, Tehran’s efforts and plans to revive its share in the world crude oil markets have been fruitful.
He said the positive outcomes of consultations of Minister of Petroleum in Algeria will be evident in the near future.
“As Minister of Petroleum said at Imam Khomeini International Airport before heading for Algeria, the OPEC meeting on the last day of the IEF session will be consultative in nature.”
He said majority of the OPEC members have now come to the conclusion that Iran is in a better position in terms of energy diplomacy.
He added that a large number of the producers and consumers, major oil and gas companies and international organizations active in energy take part in the International Energy Forum. Representatives from such big consuming countries as China, South Korea, India, Germany and France will be present in the Algeria session, according to the MP.
The MP said Iran has had active and effective presence in the OPEC in the past three years to the extent that the OPEC Secretary General Mohammad Barkindo had in his visit to Tehran emphasized the point. So, Tehran’s position and oil policies of Zanganeh is well known to the participants, he added.
On consultations of foreign companies with Iranian delegations, he said Minister of Petroleum had already raised conditions of investment in Iran and investors should know that conditions of presence in the oil, gas and petrochemical projects of Iran is observing Iran conditions.
Khader said technology transfer, production and joint investment are among conditions of Iran as it has announced.
The IEF will be open in Algeria for two days from Tuesday and the OPEC members will hold consultative session on the sidelines.
