Bangkok, Oct 8, IRNA - President Hassan Rouhani, who is on a three-leg regional tour to South-East Asian nations, arrived in Thailand on Saturday.
Rouhani was welcomed by the advisor of Thailand's King, Thailand Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Surasak Karnjanarat and Iranian ambassador to Thailand Mohsen Mohammadi.
Rouhani is accompanied by the Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and some other cabinet ministers.
Issues such as developing economic cooperation and taking advantage of the high capacities of Iran and Thailand to boost cooperation are to be discussed during the bilateral talks in Thailand.
Rouhani will be officially welcomed by Thailand Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Sunday.
Participating an economic conference of businessmen, visiting Iranians and the leaders of Muslim societies in Thailand, taking part in a mourning ceremony for the martyrdom of Imam Hossein (AS), participating the second Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) are other programs of President Rouhani in Thailand.
It is worth noting that during the second leg of his tour, Rouhani met Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and Malaysian Parliament speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia.
