Moscow and Tehran will soon hold a ceremony of laying the first stone of the Bandar Abbas power plant in Iran.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia and Iran will hold the first stone laying ceremony of the Bandar Abbas power plant in Iran's Hormozgan province in the near future, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei told Sputnik. "The ceremony of the first stone laying of four units of the Bandar Abbas power plant, which will be constructed by the Russian company Technopromexport together with the Iranian partners, will take place soon. The units' capacity is 350 and 400 MW with the total output of 1,400 MW," Sanaei said.
In August, Technopromexport engineering company, a subsidiary of Rostec state technologies corporation, announced a two-phase tender for design of the plant with a starting price of $26.6 million in accordance with contract agreement signed with Iranian energy corporation in November 2015.
