MNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Zarif held talks with Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement, on Tue. in Lebanese capital Beirut.
Other officials present at the meeting included the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fatah Ali and the Director General of the Foreign Ministry’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Department, Mohammad Irani, as well as a number of senior Hezbollah officials, including Deputy S.G. Sheikh Naim Qassem, Shariah Council Head Sheikh Mohammad Yazbek, politburo chief Sayyed Ibrahim Amin al-Sayyed, and Nasrallah’s political advisor Hussein Khalil.
During the meeting, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Nasrallah conferred on the latest political developments in Lebanon and the region.
Zarif and his 45-strong delegation of entrepreneurs and tradesman, arrived in Beirut on Monday morning and held talks with Lebanon’s newly-elected President Michel Aoun, Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Caretaker Prime Minister Tammam Salam, Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri, and a number of political and spiritual dignitaries.
