MNA – Foreign Ministry spokesperson has rejected Wall Street Journal report on Iran-West fresh talks as ‘mere speculation.
’Mr. Baharam Ghasemi was responding to this report in WSJ on Saturday in an interview to Ana News Agency. “The news story is inaccurate and bases its story on false premises and speculations; no new talks Iran has had with western sides to accelerate the JCPOA implementation especially to rapidly reduce its stockpile of enriched uranium in the wake of a hawkish White House, as Wall Street Journal claimed,” he emphasized.
The report in WSJ said that the US along with other parties to JCPOA had been engaged in fresh urgent talks with Iran to rule out any Trumpian scheme of renegotiating the deal by reducing Iran’s nuclear material well below the cap agreed upon in the 2015 accord.
