IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with the President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani on the sidelines of Heart of Asian Conference in Amritsar.

During the meeting, both sides discussed on promoting ties and providing the grounds for developing relations in political, security and economic fields.

Zarif arrived in New Delhi on Dec 3 to participate in Heart of Asia Conference which is underway in Amritsar of India aiming at helping resolve and improve the security conditions of Afghanistan.

Representatives of over 30 countries like US, Russia, Iran, Pakistan, China, Saudi Arabia, Emirates, Turkey and the Asian neighbors of Afghanistan took part in the event.
