IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said the parliament is seriously following up the tragic train incident recently happened in Semnan.


Addressing the Wednesday morning open session of the parliament, he said that Majlis is carrying out due measures to investigate the incident during which two trains collided near the city of Semnan in north central of the country Nov 27.

He made the remarks in response to a question by a lawmaker, Nader Qazipour, about the measures the parliament has taken to follow up the issue.

Trains destined from Tabriz-Mashad and Mashad-Semnan collided at Haftkhan Station between Shahroud and Damqan which led to death of some 45 passengers.
