ESPNFC- Former Wolfsburg midfielder Ashkan Dejagah has re-signed for the German club on a free transfer from Qatari First Division side Al-Arabi Sports Club.
The 30-year-old enjoyed a five-year spell with the Wolves, whom he joined from Hertha Berlin in 2007, the highlight being the Bundesliga title win with the Green-Whites in 2009.
The former Fulham player has signed a deal at the Volkswagen Arena until the end of the season with the option of extending the contract for a further year.
The Iran international, with 38 caps for his country, told the club website: "I am truly delighted to be back in Wolfsburg again and I am really fired up about playing in the Bundesliga."
Wolfsburg currently sit 14th in the Bundesliga table on the back of Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to Augsburg and Dejagah hopes he can help them move up the table.
He added: "VfL are currently in a difficult situation and I want to help them get out of that as quickly as possible."
