IRNA – Iranian male fencer Mojtaba Abedini received silver medal in World Cup Padova 2017 in Italy.


“Abedini overpowered Korean rival 15-14 in semi-final stage,” Iran Fencing Federation reported.

In the final stage, he was defeated by Hungarian fencer 15-12 and ranked second in the international tornament.

Abedini presented his medal to martyred firefighters of Tehran Plasco inferno.

World Cup Padova 2017 Competitions will be wrapped up today.

Plasco Trade Center, the 17-storey building collapsed in downtown Tehran while a number of firefighters were inside the building to rescue those trapped in the huge fire.
