IRNA -- Head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Hamid Mohammadi says e-visas will be issued for Iranian pilgrims to the House of God this year.
Mohammadi briefed reporters on the outcome of talks between Iranian and Saudi officials, and said the talks were positive in general and in the discussions, Iran raised its demands and the two sides reached agreement in general.
“Visa issuance was one of the serious debates and eventually the text of the agreement envisioned e-visa issuance. We have put the data in a system and will provide Hajj pilgrims with a copy and they will head for Jeddah with the document.”
He said Saudi officials have made good arrangements to guarantee security, especially when there is dense crowd of pilgrims.
Somewhere in his remarks, Mohammadi put total number of Iranian pilgrims to this year’s Hajj at more than 86,000.
