April 8, The Iran Project – Slovak Culture Minister has stressed Iran-Slovakia’s Arts and Culture cooperation, adding we are calling for holding Iranian and Slovak cultural weeks in the two countries.
Attended by a number of Ministry of Culture officials, Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri singed a MoU with visiting Slovak Culture Minister Marek Ma?ari? in a meeting on Saturday.
Salehi Amiri expressed hope that Slovak Culture Minister’s visit to Iran can be an introduction for the development of economic, political and cultural relations between the two countries.
In the meeting, the two countries reached general agreements in the fields of holding cultural weeks, cooperation in the fields of cinema, art and cultural diplomacy, he added.
Stressing Iran’s rich culture and history, Iranian Minister of Culture said Slovakia, as the first country signing an agreement with Iran after the removal of sanctions, has also good capacity to cooperate with the country.
Moreover, Slovak Culture Minister Marek Ma?ari?, for his part, stressed Slovakia’s great attention to develop relations not only with the West but the East, adding Iran-Slovakia’s ties are now growing.
Despite the geographical distance between the two countries, Iran and Slovakia can have deep and close cultural relations, he noted.
