IRNA – An after-shock measuring 4.3 degrees on the Richter scale jolted surrounding areas of Sefidsang in Fariman city, 100 kilometers southeast of Mashad, capital of Khorasan Razavi province on Saturday.
According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the after-shock occurred at 13:30 hours local time (0900 GMT) and its epicenter was at 60.36 degrees longitude and latitude of 35.78 degrees as well as in the depth of 8 kilometers underground.
An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted Sefidsang area on Wednesday morning at 10:40 local time (0610 GMT) on Wednesday and since then 300 aftershocks occurred at the area.
The quake killed 2 and injured 6 and buildings in the towns of Sefidsang and Fariman have suffered minor destruction.
