MNA– Javad Torkabadi, Iran’s new ambassador to Syria, arrived in Syria capital city, Damascus on Tuesday evening.Taking the place of Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani, Torkabadi arrived in Damascus on Tuesday night, and was welcomed by the Iranian and Syrian officials, including Syrian Social Affairs Minister Rima al-Qadiri.
Torkabadi served as Iran’s ambassador to Sudan (2010-14); he has also been Iran’s ambassador to Bahrain and Nigeria, and has also served as Iran’s chargé d'affaires in Kuwait. Back in Foreign Ministry, Torkabadi chaired the First Office of North and West Africa.
