IRNA – Iranian wrestlers won eight medals to win the title in 2017 Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championship underway in the Indian capital.


The Iranian squad gained three gold medals, one silver and four bronze ones to become champion in the tournament with 71 points.

Japan and Uzbekistan ranked second and third with 55 and 49 points, respectively.

The 27th Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championship was hosted by New Delhi on May 13-14 with participation of athletes from 15 different countries.
