IRNA – The written withdrawal letter of the presidential candidate Es’haq Jahangiri was submitted to the interior ministry on Wednesday.


According to the law, any of the presidential candidates ,in case of withdrawing, must announce their will for quitting the campaign in the form of an official written letter either themselves or by their plenipotentiary representatives to the Ministry of the Interior.

Jahangiri had publicly announced, releasing a statement on Tuesday, he had quitted and would do his best to support Hassan Rouhani for reelection in the upcoming presidential election on May 19.
