IRNA – An information technology expert on Saturday said that citizens of 68 countries, including France, have chosen to visit Kashan on April 4-June 5.
'France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands are respectively visitors of historical sites in Kashan,' Alireza Abdollah-Zadeh, official in charge of data analysis in Kashan said.
A sum of 6,000 tourists from France, accounting for 37 percent of the total number of incoming tourists, visited Kashan in the said period.
Tourists from Spain, China, Hong Kong, Belgium, Switzerland, Britain and Thailand are in the next row.
Secretary for electronic tourism committee of Kashan city said that foreign tourist number has increased 62 percent in comparison with the same period of last year.
He said that 16,321 foreign tourists have entered Kashan in this period of time while the figure was 10,314 last year.
More than 1700 historical sites have been recognized in Kashan, 213 of which have been registered as national works.
Historical garden of Finn was registered as international heritage by UNESCO in 2011.
