Iran values Niger’s stance on Palestine

MNA – Parliament's General Director for International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has appreciated viewpoint of Niger towards the Palestinian issue.


The official made the remarks at a meeting with the Head of the Nigerien Parliamentary Friendship Group Masani Couroni in Tehran on Monday.

Iran’s Amir-Abdollahian, at the meeting, welcomed the Nigerian delegation and voiced willingness of the Iranian Parliament to boost relations between the two countries.

He also appreciated the stance taken by government and nation of Niger towards the issue of Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif.

The official further expressed hope that the Nigerien parliament speaker will soon make a visit to Iran given that he has been officially invited by his Iranian counterpart.

Masani Couroni of Niger, for his part, expressed satisfaction for his visit to Tehran and called for support of the Iranian Parliament in development of bilateral cooperation between the two sides.

Referring to humanitarian aids of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Niamey, the visiting official emphasized the need to strengthen and expand relations in all sectors especially parliamentary and medical ones.

At the invitation of the Iranian counterpart, the Nigerien parliamentary friendship group is on a three-day visit to Tehran. Iran and Niger hold good and friendly ties and an embassy of the Western African country will be soon opened in the Iranian capital.
