IRNA – The swearing-in ceremony of Iran's re-elected President Hassan Rouhani is to be held on August 5 in the Parliament (Majlis), a member of the presiding board of the legislative body said.
Gholamreza Kateb told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that in the ceremony, which is to be held from 5 pm to 8 pm local time (12:30 to 15:30 pm GMT), the President and the Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani would give speeches.
The ceremony starts with a message from the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to be read out by his Chief of Staff in the session, he added.
The member of the Parliament also pointed to the foreign guests of the ceremony from various countries and noted that they would be invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Rouhani was elected for his second term of office as the President of Islamic Republic of Iran on May 19, sweeping 23.5 million or 57% of the votes.
