IRNA – Iran is ready to engage more with the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, says the Islamic Republic ambassador to Baghdad.
Iraj Masjedi made the remarks on Monday in a meeting with newly-appointed Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Humam Hamoudi and members of the Council.
Masjedi also congratulated Hamoudi on his appointment as the new head of Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq.
Hamoudi replaced ex-chief of the Islamic Supreme Council Ammar al-Hakim on July 30.
Hakim's term came to an end on July 24.
