Baku. Shamil Alibeyli – APA. Scientific worker of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Khalida Khalid and her driver Shamkhal Huseynov arrested in Tabriz are under the control of the Ministry of Intelligence and National Security of the Islamic Republic of Iran (MISIRI) and investigation is underway.
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said this at his weekly press conference today, APA reports quoting IRIB.

According to him, each of the foreign citizens, who committed illegal acts in Iran, is being followed by MISIRI and measures are being taken against them.

According to Mehmanparast, though the Iranian and Azerbaijani officials are interested in developing relations between the two countries, some extremist persons and forces are trying to undermine good relations between the two countries.
