MNA – Parliament's General Director for International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said the resistance of Iran and Zimbabwean nations against the bullying powers is an important model of struggle for liberty and equality in the world.
Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with Zimbabwean Ambassador Nicholas D. Kiti kiti on Tuesday.
"The expansion of friendly relations between Iran and Zimbabwe is important in many areas, and economic cooperation should be given more attention," Iranian diplomat underlined in the meeting.
He also reiterated the need for the boost in parliamentary ties between the two countries.
Kiti kiti, for his part, highly regarded the bilateral relations in various political, economic, and cultural fields.
"The people and officials of Zimbabwe stand in full force against the excesses of the United States and its allies, which are struggling with various kinds of pressure, including sanctions, to undermine the independence, security and territorial integrity of Zimbabwe," he noted.
