MNA � Iranian two-time Paralympic Champion�Zahra Nemati earned a gold medal in women's individual recurve open with a 6-2 win over her Turkish opponent at the World Archery Para Championships in Beijing.
The London 2012 and Rio 2016 gold medallist Zahra Nemati topped the recurve women�s open�ranking round with 648 in total and won the gold medal at the 2017�World Archery Para Championships�in Beijing by defeating Merve Nur�Eroglu of Turkey in a 6-2 win.
Zahra Nemati was named Para archer of 2016 by World Archery at a gala held in Las Vegas, USA, in February. The 32-year-old took up archery after suffering a spinal cord injury in 2003.
Meanwhile, Iran�s recurve women open team finished fourth, losing the top three places to China, Russia and Italy. In recurved mixed team open, Iranian archers managed to finish third and earn a bronze medal.
