IRNA – British envoy to Iran Nicholas Hopton in a message expressed satisfaction over high-level projects between Iran and the UK companies.
In his Twitter message released on Monday, Hopton said: 'Pleased to see high profile projects between Iran and the UK-based companies generating so much interest & supporting JCPOA.'
Hopton re-tweeted Iranian ambassador to UK Hamid Baeedinejad Sep 20 tweet in which he had said 'Agreement made to construct the 6th ever largest solar plant valued €800m between Iran and a major UK company is announced today in London.'
After one month of negotiations, an MoU was signed between Iran and a British company and it was officially unveiled on sep 20 in London, Baeedinejad earlier said.
The contract deals with building a huge solar power plant with the capacity of 600 MW in Iran and the volume of investment would be worth 800 million Euros.
The mentioned plant will be the sixth biggest solar power plant in the world and it is scheduled to be finished in three months.
The unveiling ceremony of the huge solar power plant was held just one day after US President Donald Trump's hateful allegations in the United Nations General Assembly meeting, he added.
