IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held a meeting with Sultran Qaboos bin Said al Said on Monday evening.


During the meeting both sides discussed bilateral ties, regional issues like Syria, Yemen and developments in northern Iraq.

Zarif also held talks with his Omani counterpart Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah.

Iranian Foreign Minister will later leave Oman for Qatar to discuss the latest international and regional developments with the senior officials of that country.

Zarif's visits to Oman and Qatar are taking place within the framework of his regular consultations with senior officials of the two countries.
