MNA – In a meeting with Maurice Gourdault-Montagne, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Iran’s ambassador Abolghasem Delfi discussed bilateral relations and regional and international issues.
Pointing to importance of relations between France and Iran, Montagne voiced the country’s readiness to utilize political and economic capacities and to conduct further regional negotiations with the Islamic Republic.
He referred to Iran’s adherence to the nuclear deal and put emphasis on the full implementation of JCPOA. He also called for the compliance of all signatories with their commitments under the deal, describing it as France’s first priority.
The French official also mentioned the capacities for expansion of economic cooperation and urged the continuation of holding economic commission's meetings to put such potentials into effect.
For his part, Delfi touched upon the positive developments in bilateral relations with France and insisted on the necessity to enact the agreements reached during President Rouhani’s trip to France, which include the outline for the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
He further discussed Iran’s adherence to its nuclear-related obligations and stressed the significant role of European Union, particularly France, in executing the JCPOA agreement.
