Twelve people were injured as a result of an earthquake that took place in the city of Shiraz in the Fars province in Iran, ISNA agency quotes Chief of Emergency Aid Service of the Fars Province, Kamran Firoozi as saying.
According to Firoozi, five of the 12 injured are in a serious condition and are hospitalised.
An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale took place in the Fars province of Iran.
It should be also recalled that an earthquake measuring 6.2 points occurred in Bashagard County, in the Hormozgan province of Iran, resulting in 17 people being injured and one death. At the same time 70 villages were damaged.
