Tehran, Amman call for Islamic unity against Trump’s move

MNA – Iran’s envoy to Amman and a member of the Jordanian parliament stressed the need for unity of the Islamic world in the fight against usurper Zionist regime.


Mojyaba Ferdosipour, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Jordan met and talked with Yahya Al-Saud, Head of the Palestine Committee in Jordan’s Parliament on Friday in Amman.

The two parties at the joint session, while strongly condemning the order given by the US President to transfer the American embassy to Jerusalem, emphasized the need for the Islamic world to unite against the Zionist occupation until complete liberation of Palestinian territories, Al-Aqsa Mosque in particular.

Ferdosipour and Al-Saud went on to praise roles of leaders, governments and nations of both countries in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people. They also emphasized the official stances of Iranian and Jordanian governments and parliaments in defending the independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its legitimate capital.

The meeting also called for full liberation of the occupied territories from the hands of Zionists.

At the end of this meeting, the two sides stressed the necessity of strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, while also calling for unity of Islamic sects in the fight against the usurper Zionist regime.

It is worth noting that the Jordanian MP Yahya al-Saud is slated to make a visit to Tehran in order to attend a meeting of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States.
