IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov reviewed the developing cooperation especially in economic field.
During the meeting both sides held talks on promoting cooperation in railway, and energy sectors in the Caspian Sea.
Holy Quds was another important topic discussed by the ministers.
Zarif arrived in Baku late on Tuesday to attend the Fifth Trilateral Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Iran, Azerbaijan Republic and Turkey.
The meeting of the three countries’ foreign ministers will be held Wednesday with Zarif and his Azerbaijani and Turkish counterparts Mammadyarov and Mevlut cavusoglu, respectively in attendance.
The meeting will discuss wide range of issues and cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including economy, transit, transportation, energy, customs as well as avenues for promoting peace and stability in the region.
