Tasnim – Representatives of Iran and Turkey held talks on mechanisms for promoting cooperation between the two neighboring countries in various legal and judicial areas.
The second meeting of Iran-Turkey Joint Strategic Committee for Legal Cooperation was held in Turkey from Tuesday, December 26, to Friday, December 29.
Turkey’s Ministry of Justice hosted the meeting, which was attended by the representatives of Iran’s Ministry of Justice, the Judiciary, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of relevant departments of the Iranian Embassy in Turkey.
During the talks, the two sides stressed the need to promote bilateral relations in various legal and judicial spheres.
In April last year, Iran and Turkey signed eight memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various areas.
The cooperation documents were signed in a ceremony in Ankara attended by the two countries’ presidents.
