IRNA – Vice-President for Legal Affairs Laiya Joneidi vowed to follow up the case of the Iranian sunken oil Tanker Sanchi.
While condoling with Sanchi victims' survivors, Joneidi said the incident had a national dimension and depressed all Iranians.
She said executive organs will follow up the case on their own through their legal departments. However, upon receipt of the reports of ministries and executive organs, the presidential office's legal affairs department will take the necessary action, she added.
All Sanchi crew members, including 30 Iranians and two Bangladeshi sailors, were killed because of toxic gases and the huge fire which embraced the tanker after the ship collided with a Chinese freighter in the East China Sea on January 6.
All rescue efforts were in vain and the tanker sank on January 14.
