IRNA – Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami on Wednesday underlined the need for promoting Iran-Russia relations in different fields, hoping that bilateral ties will further improve in defense sector.
In a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin in Moscow, he added that mutual cooperation has made good progress based on military cooperation agreements.
Describing the Russian presidential election as glorious, he congratulated the Russian nation and government on the occasion.
Rogozin, for his part, expressed pleasure with the presence of Iranian high-ranking delegation in Moscow Security Conference, voicing his country’s interest in promoting interaction with Iran.
High capacities of Iran and Russia can pave the ground for further collaboration in the technical and defense sectors, he said.
The Seventh International Moscow Security Conference focusing on regional and international developments was held in the Russian capital on Wednesday with participation of the defense ministers of 30 countries.
