SHANA – The National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) drilled 8 oil and gas wells during the first 14 days of the new Iranian calendar year (Nowruz).

Naser Gholipour, the director of consolidated planning at NIDC, said three of the wells were development ones and the other 5 were workover and well completions.

He said 7,900 meters of offshore and onshore wells were spudded by NIDC rigs during the fortnight.

NIDC fleet and staff were fully operational during Nowruz holidays, he noted.
