IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araqchi arrived in Brussels, capital of Belgium, on Monday to co-chair Iran-European Union experts' negotiations.

According to the Foreign Ministry Media Department, Araqchi is here at the head of experts' delegation from different economic bodies.

Upon his arrival, Araqchi met and exchanged views with Secretary of EU foreign policy Helga Schmidt.

Experts' meeting is to kick off on Monday afternoon, Brussels time, and will continue on Tuesday until beginning of foreign ministers' session.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is also to arrive in Brussels to meet and exchange views with Federica Mogherini and foreign ministers of Germany, France and Britain on Tuesday.
