IRNA – Director General for Transit and International Transport in Iran's Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization (IRMTO) Reza Nafisi acknowledged about signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on transport cooperation between Iran and Greece.
Nafisi said on Sunday that a 2-day meeting for road transport cooperation between Iran and Greece was held in Tehran with the aim to develop this section and eliminate problems for goods and passenger transport between the two countries.
At the end of a 2-day meeting, a MoU in 18 paragraphs was signed between Reza Nafisi and Head of foreign relations and international affairs of Greece Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport Trianta Fillos.
Nafisi said that the two sides underlined facilitation of transport operation between the two countries and elimination of every kind of obstacle in this sector.
The Greek side promised to settle Iranian drivers problems in Greece, and the two sides expressed their interests to expand international road transport between the two countries, Nafisi said.
