MNA – Spokesman for Iranian Parliament National Security Commission Naghavi Hosseini has said that there is no JCPOA after the US exit, saying the attempts to keep it alive are futile.
“The Europeans want Iran to stay in the deal,” Hossein Naghavi Hosseini told Iranian ISNA news agency on Monday.
In reaction to the remarks made by the Iranian deputy foreign minister Abbas Araghchi that the JCPOA was in intensive care unit, he said “for me as a political analyst, the JCPOA was finished when the United States withdrew. It has become impossible to save the JCPOA and the attempts to preserve it have proven to be futile.”
He added “the Europeans cannot make up for our losses and provide guarantees to us against the US will.”
There is no JCPOA, he said, adding “the US destroyed the JCPOA and the Europeans accompanied it.”
The senior Iranian MP further said that Iran had been in a worse situation before the JCPOA and the whole West were against it while it managed to pass the difficult time, adding that Iranians through keeping unity can resist the pressures.
Naghavi Hosseini further noted “the Americans this time cannot mobilize all countries against us as we have not violated the JCPOA but the Americans did.”
