IRNA - The Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission reviewed the lawsuits filed by the Iranian government against the US at the International Court of Justice.
Elaborating on a Sunday meeting of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, the commission's rapporteur Ali Najafi khashroudi said, 'The latest status of the two cases filed by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the United States at the International Court of Justice, the illegality of issuing a verdict against the Central Bank of Iran and the order to execute the confiscation of $2 billion of Iran's assets, as well as violations of the Iran-US Charter of Friendship and the illegitimacy of the US President's measures against Iran's adherence to Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the withdrawal of the US and the re-imposition of sanctions against Iran were discussed.
Iran's lawsuits and arguments before the Iranian-American Court of Arbitration regarding the military and defense contracts of the two countries (before the victory of the Islamic Revolution) and the legal principles, arguments and citations of the Islamic Republic of Iran were also discussed.
