IRNA – Norwegian Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Soreide conferred with her Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif on Thursday on the sideline of the 73rd session of United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, they explored avenues for promoting economic cooperation and bilateral ties and discussed regional developments.

Zarif arrived in New York on Sunday to the accompaniment of President Hassan Rouhani to attend the 73rd high-profile session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Earlier, Zarif held talks with foreign ministers of Group 4+1.

He also participated in the Nelson Mandela Peace Summit and held talks with the P4+1 foreign ministers.
