IFP - A flurry of gas industry development projects were launched in South Khorasan province, in eastern Iran on Saturday. The projects included Sarbisheh-Nehbandan and Sarbisheh-Doreh gas pipelines.
The projects were launched on Saturday in a ceremony attended by National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) CEO and South Khorasan governor.
The plans were Sarbisheh-Nehbandan gas pipeline, Sarbisheh-Doreh gas pipeline, gas supply to the three cities of Nehbandan, Shusef and Doreh, and gas supply to 101 provincial villages, as well as starting gas supply operations to 388 other villages.
Implementation of these projects entailed Rls. 800 billion of investment in the Sarbisheh-Nehbandan pipeline, Rls. 150 billion for gas supply to Nehbandan and Rls. 50 billion for gas supply sector in Shusef.
Meanwhile, gas supply projects to 30 villages of Birjand County, 21 villages in Darmian County, 14 villages of Boshruyeh County, a village in Nehbandan County, 10 villages of Tabas County, 9 villages in Ferdows County, 11 villages of Qaenat County and 5 villages of Sarbisheh County came on-stream.
With gas supply to these cities and villages, a total of 13,373 households benefited from the blessing of natural gas for heating and cooking.
